It's no secret that kids love to play. To really connect with them, you have to plug into their world and make it fun.

Generation Cures is a free, safe environment for 8-12 year olds, filled with content that sparks kids' natural curiosity and compassion.

Our digital playground features animated web stories and puzzle-adventure games created by award-winning researchers, educators, and designers. Set in familiar and fantastic worlds, Zebrafish, our episodic story and Caduceus, our multi-faceted game, use humor and a quirky cast of characters to engage kids in social lessons about giving.

  • Learning as a Family

Our goal is for kids to drive their learning experience through both the stories and the games. But we know that as kids watch and play, they will begin to ask important questions like: "What do I care about?" and "What can I do about it?" They also may be curious about the science and medical content of our stories, or have questions about other diseases or sick kids they know.

We encourage you as mentors and co-learners to take an active part in your child's learning experience.

For some parents, this may mean playing along in Caduceus and helping your child to solve more difficult puzzles. For others, it may mean discussing the social issues faced by the Zebrafish kids or the real-life experiences of children in our Kid Videos. And for still others, it may mean asking follow-up questions to review the science and medical content or the underlying values of each story.

Parents are a lifeline - we're there when our kids reach out. We can help them to process new information, work through unanswered questions, and apply what they learn to their lives. We can also offer support and collaborate with them to take action, motivate others, and initiate change. And of course, it's never too late for us to learn from them! learn

  • Special Features for Families

We hope you'll sign up as a family, and take advantage of features we've designed especially for parents and other adults:

Track Story and Game Progress: Lets you check your Family Profile to see the latest story episode your child has viewed and game level he or she has played.

Get Q&A Emails: Sign up for emails that provide details about the science and medical content of each game component and suggest questions to prompt further discussion about what children have learned and how they might apply it to their lives.

Groups: Organize your kids and other families as groups who experience the stories and games together, adding to the fun and impact your kids can make through the creative content and in the "real" world.

As you inspire your kids, we hope that you'll be inspired by them, nourishing the belief that we can all, together, make it better by making a difference.

READ MORE about the stories, games, and videos on our site, and how you can share the learning experience with your child.
