Scientists must ask themselves defining questions. What do I hope to learn from my research discovery? How will it help people?

Our defining question is this: What if we could teach our children the power of giving? And what if we could do it through a website that was free?

Welcome to the Generation Cures website. Created for kids to learn about the power of giving. About how science can save the lives of kids like them. And about what their own defining questions may be for themselves.

How do we teach all that?

Generation Cures believes that kids learn best doing what they already love to do: playing games, watching animated cartoons and videos. Sound familiar?

But every activity here helps to teach your child the art of giving. How they can be more compassionate to other children. How to think more about we than me. Activities like Kid Vids, where your child can watch short videos of doctors and researchers being interviewed by kids. Kids who were helped by those very same doctors and researchers.

Still not convinced? Watch a Kid Vid by clicking here. See how kids can learn from other kids. Join other parents who want their children to learn firsthand the power of giving.

What if we could teach children how together we can find cures that help everyone, everywhere? What if we could do it in a game?

Welcome to Generation Cures' Caduceus, our free on-line game. Playing Caduceus, your child will have the power to track down the source for a deadly disease. Discover its causes. Unlock the mystery of a medical cure. And maybe solve enough of the puzzles to earn the supreme sword of all healing: the caduceus.

This isn't, as a kid would say, Gaming 101 either. Not at all. Caduceus will challenge your child every step of the journey through the fantastic world of Alterica.

Your children will learn that they have the power to make a difference. We call it Game for Good. As they play Caduceus they'll be asked to solve puzzles to move to the next level in the game. Every time they advance to another level, they can ask for real gifts from parents and sponsors. Gifts that will fund real research happening at Children's Hospital Boston right now.

If you'd like to see what Caduceus is about, click here . Join other parents and kids who are unlocking the mysteries of medical cures.

What if we could teach our children that they can make a difference?

Welcome to Generation Cures' Zebrafish. This animated series follows five teenagers as they form a rock band and raise enough money to help Tanya, their sick friend. They discover that compassion and giving can make a difference. Not only for Tanya. For everyone in their band. Their school. The world.

And they learn something about themselves along the way. About honesty, respect, and kindness. About personal responsibility. About character.

And Zebrafish doesn't stop there. It encourages children to think outside of themselves and consider the needs of others. And it encourages them to take action to help others.

It also connects your child with our on-line game Caduceus. Every time your child progresses to the next level in Caduceus, he can ask for real gifts from parents and sponsors. Gifts that will fund real research happening at Children's Hospital right now.

We encourage you to watch an episode of Zebrafish by clicking here.

You can start the conversation today with your child about making a difference in our world. Join the community of parents who believe their children should have character and help others. Join Generation Cures.
